Novaterra specialises in restoring and developing oil and natural gas resources in challenging environments. Our capabilities span the upstream value chain, encompassing exploration, development, and long-term production operations.
Our aim is to expand Syria’s oil production and gas supply for power generation by restoring production from existing fields, bringing on-stream discovered accumulations, and exploring for and developing further resources. We will do this safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively, using best international practices.
Our success will rely on strengthening Syria’s national workforce to create a skilled talent base, ensuring Syrians lead and sustain their country’s energy and economic recovery.

Addressing Syria’s Urgent Energy Challenge
Syria’s power generation sector is critically short of reliable, cost-effective gas supply. Existing in-country gas production meets less than half of current demand, forcing reliance on expensive imported gas which places a heavy burden on the country’s economy.
With new power generation capacity under development, restoring and expanding domestic gas production is ever more urgent. Even small additions to supply can deliver immediate national benefit.
Novaterra’s focus is to deliver practical, near-term gas supply solutions while laying the foundation for long-term energy resilience.
